Alongside the new season, Hulu also premiered their annual ‘Huluween’ special during Halloween, with a promo featuring a gruesome story about an experimental diet-plan gone horribly wrong.

Usually the briefings for the development of CG animals and characters push towards cute, cuddly characters that the audience can fall in love with. So it’s very refreshing to receive a brief containing the very opposite! Our team went to work and got into the nitty gritty details ensuring a scary look even in super macro close-up. For the hatching of the egg with hundreds of baby spiders a sophistic crowd simulation was created to let these scary little babies crawl, stumble and run over each other as soon as the egg hits the floor.

And if you thought spiders are scary? For their annual Huluween special, FX aired a promo where a supermodel gets consumed from inside out by an alien tape worm. Our team transformed a beautiful actress into a lifeless ancient zombie, and added a jump scare from a slimy gigantic CG worm shooting towards the camera from her mouth.
